Vietnamese Dipping Sauce (Nước Mắm Pha)
This super, quick, and easy dipping sauce is an important part in Vietnamese daily meal, especially in some fried dishes and salads.
Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup fish sauce
- 2 cups water
- 3 Thai chili
- 4 garlic clove
- 1 lime or white vinegar
Instructions
- Mince garlic cloves and Thai chili well. Cut lime into wedges.
- In a large bowl, combine sugar, fish sauce, and water. Squeeze in lime juice. Stir well until dissolved. Then add minced garlic and minced Thai chili. Stir for a few times.
- Place the dipping sauce into a cooler of the fridge. It can be stored for months.
