Street Food Fried Bananas Recipe (Chuối Chiên)

For this week recipe, we’re making one of the popular street food dessert in Vietnam, Crispy Fried Bananas (Chuoi Chien). This dessert is very popular in Vietnam as they’re really cheap for school students. You can find them pretty much at any corner and every school from elementary to high school. The main ingredient is, of course, ripe bananas. Use only ripe bananas as they are at their sweetest point. We are using Siamese banana, (chuối xiêm/ chuối sứ) for this recipe (available at Asian markets). However, you can use any kind of bananas.
For other banana dessert, you can try this Steamed Banana Cake Recipe (Bánh Chuối Hấp).
