After a few weeks of school final exams, I wanted to make something simple, easy, and healthy. For this recipe, I’m making Stir Fried Bean Sprouts with Beef (Thịt Bò Xào Giá). Main ingredients are beef, bean sprouts, and garlic chives (Chinese chives). This easy recipe take about 10 minutes to complete including marinating time. You’ll need only one fry pan. Most of all, I think this dish is a healthy one because as you can see a lot of the vegetable and very little meat.
In a small bowl, whisk together all the "Sauce ingredients" until smooth. Set aside.
Marinate the beef with all the "Marinated ingredients" for 5 minutes.
Heat 1/2 tsp. oil in a saucepan over medium high. Sauté garlic. Then pour in the marinated beef and stir fry for 1 minutes or until medium rare. Pour the beef into a bowl and set aside.
Once again, heat 1/2 tsp. oil in the same pan. Pour in yellow onion slices and stir fry for 1 minute. Then place in bean sprouts, garlic chives, if using, and pour in the sauce. Stir fry for another 1 minute. Finally, pour in the beef. Give it a good stir and remove. Transfer on a plate and sprinkle with ground pepper.
