Have you wondered about how to make your own Honey Walnut Shrimp? In this recipe, we’ll make this dish. The delicious crispy shrimps tossed in the tasty creamy sauce, and topped with yummy candied Walnuts. I bet your loved ones will absolutely love it. Honestly, my daughter is a fan of the dish. She asks for it all the time; I have been making the dish so many times for her since I know this recipe. Typically, the shrimps would disappear fairly fast after I am done tossing because she always stands right next to me every time I make the dish.
Melt butter in a saucepan on medium heat. Pour in the Walnut. Stir until coat. Transfer to a bowl. Place the pan back to the stove. Add sugar and water. Bring to a boil. Pour in the buttered Walnut. Stir and cook frequently until coat. Set aside.
Making the Sauce
In a small bowl, Whisk very well together all the Sauce ingredients. Set aside.
Making the Honey Shrimps
Season the shrimps with salt and ground pepper. Mix well and marinate for 5 minutes. Crack the egg into the shrimp bowl. Mix well.
Place only the shrimps into a plastic bag or a container with a lid. Pour in corn starch. Cover and shake to coat.
Deep fry the shrimps in the extremely hot oil for 2 minutes. Remove and place the shrimps on a dish with paper towel to remove any excess oil.
Then place the shrimps into a big bowl. Pour in the sauce. Mix well. Top with Walnut Candy.
The dish can be served with steamed broccoli or any vegetable of your choice.
